deprived of education due to hunger—so far there has been no turning back. When
meals are cooked for millions of children, it becomes our priority to ensure
that the kitchen operations are efficient and food is delivered to schools on
time.
For our organisation to continue operating on a large scale, donation
options have been made available on the website. From vehicle donation to
sponsoring kitchen equipment or even donating in the memory of someone; you can
choose how you want to support Akshaya Patra. In an effort achieve quality as
well as quantity, we ensure that the kitchen equipment is sustainable and the
delivery vehicles are safe for distributing hot meals every day.

of feeding 5 million children by 2020.

the website for Indian and International donors. At The Akshaya Patra Foundation, it is a promise
kept to feed a wholesome meal to the underserved children across many states.
With an ever-growing dedication, The Foundation has been feeding hot and
nutritious meals to more than 1.5 million children in India making it the
world’s largest NGO-run mid-day meal programme.
How will you benefit?
Donations to Akshaya Patra
are eligible for 100% deduction under Section 35 Ac / 80 GGA of the Indian
Income Tax. Once you have made the
donation, a receipt of the same and a 100 per cent Tax Exemption Certificate
along with a ‘Thank you’ letter will be sent to you via courier or post. The
certificate and receipt which will reach you within 10 days of making the
donation can be used to avail 100% tax exemption for the
respective financial year.
