Akshaya Patra success story Hyderabad is a collection of tales of mid-day meal beneficiaries who are determined about their aspirations. Akshaya Patra has been serving mid-day meal since October 2008. The total number of beneficiaries served with nutritious meal during the year 2013-14 was 54,849 children across 454 Government schools. Over the years this NGO has witnessed innumerable success stories of its beneficiaries from this serving location which it calls it as Akshaya Patra success story Hyderabad. This story is about two beneficiaries Sakshita and Sana studying in Zilla Parishad High School in Patancheru. The girls are students of Standard VIII and also are best of friends. Sakshita’s father works as a car driver and mother is a housewife. Sana’s father is a tailor and mother is a housewife. Both the girls are toppers in their class and want to join the teaching profession. While sharing a strong bond they also have a healthy competition amongst them when it comes to academics. Reacting to this Syed Shabeer, the school’s assistant headmaster said that students at his school are happy despite the odds they face back home. He said that food is a very important element for the children mainly because they come from humble backgrounds. Shabeer put forth that all the students are hardworking and all of them have high aspirations. Akshaya Patra’s intervention through the mid-day meal programme has been an immense help to up keep the hopes of the children.
