Joy of Giving week is celebrated in India between the 2nd and 8th of October every year. NGOs especially play an important role during this time as it provides a platform for people to contribute to the causes they feel passionate about. Akshaya Patra is an NGO that feeds the mid-day meal to over 1.4 million children in Government and Government-aided schools across the country on every working day.
